That Wednesday was just like any other Wednesday in December. It was cold and a little dreary. Nicki Jo and I worked a little editing video's in the morning and in the afternoon we had an appointment with the doctor. They weighed her and took some blood, the doctor came in and fired up the sonogram machine, placed the tool on her stomach and there it was a live baby. The doctor diagnosed Nicki with a pregnancy and we watched the baby wriggling and moving as she laughed and cried. I fell against the back wall in disbelief, laughing profusely. My head was red. And there are no words that can describe the next 3 minutes. The monologue of the doctor sent Nicki Jo and I on a wild roller coaster ride. The doctor says, "Oh there is another one, it looks a little small, I don't see the dividing membrane, there could be complications, you will need to see the specialist, oh I see the dividing membrane, everything is fine." As new parents there wasn't any way we could have prepared for that moment.
